FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION CREDIT CARD, POSSESSION PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 24, 2025, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with probation
- Possession of a credit card
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
On July 27, 2025, a Cornwall Police Service officer was dispatched to a theft call after the complainant’s wallet was stolen from his motor vehicle overnight. As a result of the ensuing investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. It is alleged on July 27, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged he was in possession of a stolen credit card and made a fraudulent purchase at a Marlborough Street convenience store. On Oct. 24, 2025, police responded to a suspicious person call and the man was subsequently located. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 24, 2025, and charged with eight counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on June 23, June 24, June 28, July 3, July 6, July 13, July 19 and Aug. 12, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store on each occasion without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted after each incident. As a result of the ensuing investigations, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. On Oct. 24, 2025, a CPS officer responded to an ambulance assist call and the man was subsequently located. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
SHOPLIFTING, RESIST PEACE OFFICER
Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 24, 2025, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting as well as resist peace officer. It is alleged on Oct. 24, 2025, the woman attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. It is further alleged she resisted arrest by the Loss Prevention Officer at the business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was later released to appear in court on Nov. 27, 2025.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 24, 2025, and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on Oct. 24, 2025, the woman struck her spouse. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was later released to appear in court on Nov. 27, 2025.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 24, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Oct. 8, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Oct. 24, 2025, police were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. The man was located by police, and the warrant was executed. He was held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 59-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 25, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Oct. 16, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Oct. 25, 2025, the woman was located by a CPS officer who was dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed, and she was released to appear in court on Nov. 27, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 26, 2025, and charged with four counts of fail to comply with probation order. On Oct. 23, 2025, police were dispatched to a disturbance call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Oct. 23, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not contact or communicate with her boyfriend and to not be within 100 metres of any place her boyfriend lives, works or frequents. She was also bound by a second probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, the woman was in contact with her boyfriend at his residence. Police developed reasonable and probable grounds for her arrest. On Oct. 26, 2025, a CPS officer responded to a police information call and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was held for a bail hearing.
