MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 19, 2025, and charged with mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on Sept. 19, 2025, the man damaged property at his former residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located by a member of the Cornwall Police Service, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Oct. 30, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 19, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on June 14, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 19, 2025, the man was located at the courthouse. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – A 59-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 19, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Sept. 19, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Oct. 16, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 19, 2025, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Sept. 19, 2025, the youth was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to remain in his residence at all times, to not attend a specific address and to not use electronic devices with specific exceptions. It is also alleged on this date, the youth breached the conditions of his probation order. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 19, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with fail to comply with probation order and two counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Aug. 7, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest. Furthermore, it is alleged on Sept. 19, 2025, the woman attended another Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. The woman was apprehended by the Loss Prevention Officer at the business, and police were contacted. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Oct. 21, 2025.
SHOPLIFTING, ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 19, 2025, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting as well as assault. It is alleged on Sept. 19, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Furthermore, it is alleged the man punched the Lost Prevention Officer in the face. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was later released to appear in court on Oct. 21, 2025.
CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 20, 2025, and charged with criminal harassment – beset and watch person known to complainant. In the early morning hours of Sept. 20, 2025, members of the CPS responded to a harassment complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman harassed her ex-boyfriend’s current girlfriend. She was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was held for a bail hearing.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 20, 2025, and charged with assault. It is alleged on Sept. 4, 2025, the woman assaulted an individual known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 20, 2025, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 30, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 20, 2025, and charged with four counts of fail to comply with probation order and two counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on May 28, 2025, and May 29, 2025, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on these dates, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Police subsequently developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On Sept. 20, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, UTTERING THREATS DOMESTIC
Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 20, 2025, and charged with domestic assault and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic. On Sept. 20, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to an intimate person violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his spouse and also threatened to physically harm her. He was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.
REFUSAL
Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old man from Williamstown was arrested on Sept. 20, 2025, and charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand. In the early morning hours of Sept. 21, 2025, a CPS officer conducted a traffic stop, and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. While police were conducting an impaired operation investigation, he allegedly refused to comply with the demand to complete a standardized field sobriety test. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Oct. 16, 2025.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old woman from Finch was arrested on Sept. 21, 2025, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. In the early morning hours of Sept. 21, 2025, a CPS officer conducted a traffic stop, and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the woman was allegedly operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Oct. 30, 2025.
WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 21, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and also charged with fail to comply with probation order as well as theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
It is alleged on Aug. 7, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
On Sept. 21, 2025, a CPS officer responded to a theft complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. The woman was located by a member of the CPS. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 21, 2025, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Sept. 21, 2025, the youth threatened to kill an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was located by a member of the CPS. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 21, 2025, and charged with domestic assault as well as mischief – destroys or damages property. On Sept. 21, 2025, police responded to a disturbance at a Thirteenth Street West establishment, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman punched her spouse multiple times and damaged his motor vehicle. She was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was held for a bail hearing.
