WARRANT, ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE, ASSAULT, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old man from Morrisburg was arrested on Sept. 24, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:

  • Robbery with violence
  • Assault
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

It is alleged on July 28, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. It is further alleged the man assaulted and threatened the Loss Prevention Officer at the business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for the man’s arrest. On Sept. 24, 2025, the man was taken into custody by members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) on an unrelated matter and subsequently turned over to the Cornwall Police Service. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Oct. 30, 2025.

WARRANTS, FAIL TO COMPLY, FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 24, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants and charged with the following:

  • Three counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Fail to attend – fingerprinting
  • Fail to attend – court

It is alleged from Feb. 4, 2025, to May 22, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to report in person to a probation officer and to notify the court or probation officer of any change of name or address. He failed to do so and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

It is also alleged on May 20, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged on this date, he was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so.

Furthermore, it is alleged on July 26, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A second warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Sept. 24, 2025, the man was taken into custody by members of the OPP and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrants were executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 24, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Sept. 24, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to not attend a specific Brookdale Avenue address. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended the address he was prohibited from visiting on Brookdale Avenue. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was released to appear in court on Oct. 30, 2025.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 24, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with six counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Aug. 31, 2025, and again on Sept. 2, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not contact or communicate with his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 100 metres of any place he knows his ex-girlfriend to live or frequent. Furthermore, it is alleged on these dates, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence and attempted to communicate with her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. On Sept. 24, 2025, the man was located at the courthouse. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and returned to cells for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 24, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. On Sept. 12, 2025, a Community Safety Officer at the CPS was tasked with investigating a theft of a bicycle. The investigation revealed that on Sept. 11, 2025, the man was allegedly bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he was in possession of a stolen bicycle. On Sept. 24, 2025, the man was located by a CPS officer. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 21, 2025.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 24, 2025, and charged with domestic assault. On Sept. 24, 2025, members of the CPS responded to a family dispute, which was later determined to be an intimate partner violence incident. It is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his ex-spouse. He was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was later released to appear in court on Oct. 14, 2025.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 82 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
