WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old man from Finch was arrested on Sept. 25, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on May 31, 2025, the man was bound by two separate undertakings, each with the relevant condition to not communicate with a specific woman. It is also alleged on this date, a Cornwall Police Service officer observed the man in a motor vehicle with the woman he was prohibited from communicating with. A warrant was subsequently issued for the man’s arrest. On Sept. 25, 2025, the man was located at the courthouse. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and returned to cells to await a bail hearing.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 25, 2025, and charged with seven counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged:
- On Aug. 5, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
- On Aug. 10, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
- On Aug. 16, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
- On Aug. 17, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
- Later on Aug. 17, 2025, the man re-attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
- On Aug. 18, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
- On Aug. 23, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
On Sept. 25, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 30, 2025.
