FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 55-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 8, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Aug. 28, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with a specific individual. It is also alleged on this date, the man was in contact with the individual he was prohibited from communicating with. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 8, 2025, the man was located by a Cornwall Police Service officer. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 16, 2025.

MISCHIEF, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth from Embrun, ON, was arrested on Sept. 8, 2025, and charged with mischief under $5,000 and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Sept. 8, 2025, the youth damaged property at school and threatened to kill staff members. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 8, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. On Sept. 5, 2025, a CPS officer was dispatched to a weapons complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not possess a firearm, crossbow, prohibited weapon, restricted weapon, prohibited device, ammunition, prohibited ammunition, or explosive substance. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly in possession of a BB gun. On Sept. 8, 2025, he was located by a member of the CPS. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 16, 2025.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 9, 2025, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. In the early morning hours of Sept. 9, 2025, CPS officers responded to a motor vehicle collision and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was later released to appear in court on Oct. 2, 2025.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 78 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
