FAIL TO COMPLY, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old Montreal man was arrested on March 28, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Criminal harassment - repeatedly communicate
  • Criminal harassment - beset and watch complainant

It is alleged the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged the man harassed his ex-girlfriend by repeatedly calling and emailing her. Furthermore, it is alleged he repeatedly drove past his ex-girlfriend’s residence and continued to contact her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 28, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Peggy Thompson-Lazore, 53, of Akwesasne, was arrested on March 28, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with appearance notice. It is alleged on Feb. 21, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. On March 28, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 2, 2024.  

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Long Sault youth was arrested on March 28, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to attend an educational, vocational or work program provided by a local school board and not be absent from such a program and to attend school without truancy. He failed to do so. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 28, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.  

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kyle Morrow, 39, of Cornwall, was arrested on March 29, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on March 26, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 29, 2024, police responded to a suspicious person report, at which point the man was located. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, UTTERING DEATH THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 29, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of fail to comply with undertaking
  • Domestic assault
  • Domestic mischief
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

It is alleged on March 29, 2024, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess weapons. On this date, police responded to a domestic disturbance and it is alleged the woman assaulted her boyfriend and damaged his property. It is also alleged the woman brandished a round-edged weapon and threatened to kill and harm police. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

FAIL TO COMPLY, BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – Krystal Davidson, 23, of Cornwall, was arrested on March 29, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on March 29, 2024, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with a specific individual and to not attend this person’s residence. On this date, police responded to a disturbance call and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the woman was allegedly at the residence of the individual she was not allowed to contact. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 7, 2024.

Later that evening, the woman was also arrested and charged with break and enter dwelling – commit indictable offence. It is alleged on this date, the woman broke into the residence of individuals known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 29, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with release order and two counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on this date, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times with the exception to attend school. It is also alleged the youth was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with a specific individual and to not attend this person’s residence. On March 29, 2024, police responded to a bail violation call and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the youth was at the residence he was not supposed to attend. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING, BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – Lewis Rising, 33, of Cornwall, was arrested on March 30, 2024, and charged with four counts of fail to comply with probation order, three counts of theft under $5,000 and break and enter place - commit indictable offence. It is alleged:

  • On Feb. 25, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
  • On March 5, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
  • On March 14, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
  • On March 16, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man broke into a Pitt Street business and removed items from the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On March 30, 2024, the man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on May 7, 2024.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 30, 2024, and charged with domestic assault and domestic assault with a weapon. It is alleged the man previously assaulted his girlfriend and assaulted her with a weapon. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 30, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 30, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.  

FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 30, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of fail to comply with release order
  • Breach of recognizance
  • Domestic assault
  • Mischief under $5,000

It is alleged on March 30, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 50 metres of any known residence or place of employment of hers. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a peace bond with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located and while being taken into custody, it is also alleged he damaged police property. The man was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
