ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Akwesasne youth was arrested on April 9, 2024, and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged on April 2, 2024, the youth assaulted an individual known to her with a weapon. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 9, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON – Amanda Laplante, 40, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 9, 2024, and charged with assault. It is alleged on April 6, 2024, the woman assaulted an individual known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 9, 2024, the woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on May 16, 2024.

Cornwall, ON – John Bazil, 50, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 9, 2024, and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged on April 6, 2024, the man assaulted an individual known to him with a weapon. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 9, 2024, the man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on May 16, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY, CAUSING A DISTURBANCE

Cornwall, ON – Ashley Belanger-Boudrias, 26, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 9, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and causing a disturbance. It is alleged on April 9, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she caused a disturbance. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on May 16, 2024.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 9, 2024, and charged with domestic mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on April 9, 2024, the woman damaged her boyfriend’s property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 30, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
