ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE

Cornwall, ON – Marc Hurtubise, 51, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 23, 2024, and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose. It is alleged on April 7, 2024, the man assaulted an individual known to him with a weapon. It is also alleged he brandished an edged weapon. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 23, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 30, 2024.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Kevin Prieur, 72, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 23, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on April 23, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on May 30, 2024.

WARRANTS, RESIST PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – Randy Campeau, 51, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 23, 2024, on the strength of outstanding warrants and additionally charged with resist peace officer. It is alleged on Sept. 29, 2023, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged on Oct. 11, 2023, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 23, 2024, police responded to a suspicious person call and an investigation ensued. The man was located and during the investigation, it is alleged he resisted a peace officer. The warrants were executed and he was charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.  

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Kayla Harps, 33, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 23, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on April 23, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on June 13, 2024.

ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Smith, 45, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 23, 2024, and charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon. It is alleged on April 23, 2024, the man assaulted an individual causing injuries. It is also alleged the man assaulted the individual with a weapon. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Austin Emmerson, 25, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 23, 2024, and charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon. It is alleged on April 23, 2024, the man assaulted an individual causing injuries. It is also alleged the man assaulted the individual with a weapon. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – Jamie Campeau, 32, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 23, 2024, and charged with mischief under $5,000. It is alleged in between March 31, 2024, and April 7, 2024, the man damaged the property of an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 23, 2024, the man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on June 4, 2024.
