DISTRIBUTE INTIMATE IMAGE WITHOUT CONSENT
Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old woman from Ottawa was arrested on April 23, 2026, and charged with distribute intimate image without consent. On April 6, 2026, a Cornwall Police Service officer was dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged in January 2026, the woman distributed an intimate image of her ex-girlfriend without her consent. As a result of the investigation, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the woman’s arrest. On April 23, 2026, she attended police headquarters to address the matter. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on May 26, 2026.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old man from Alexandria was arrested on April 23, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on April 21, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of failure to attend court after having appeared. On April 23, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on June 2, 2026.
BREAK AND ENTER, UTTERING THREATS, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 23, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Break and enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic
- Criminal harassment – repeatedly communicate
- Theft of motor vehicle
On April 22, 2026, a CPS officer was dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on April 20, 2026, the man broke into his ex-girlfriend’s residence and assaulted the woman’s current boyfriend. It is further alleged the man threatened to further harm the individual. Further investigation revealed the man repeatedly contacted his ex-girlfriend through a social media application despite being told to cease communication. Finally, it is alleged on Jan. 4, 2026, the man stole his ex-girlfriend’s utility vehicle. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On April 23, 2026, he was located by a member of the CPS. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 23, 2026, and charged with domestic assault. On April 23, 2026, CPS officers responded to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman assaulted her spouse. She was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was released to appear in court on May 26, 2026.
POSSESSION PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 23, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and also charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
On March 16, 2026, police were dispatched to a theft of motor vehicle complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was in possession of a stolen motor vehicle. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.
It is alleged on April 9, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of failure to attend court after having appeared.
On April 23, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matters. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 2, 2026.
