IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 27, 2025, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On April 27, 2025, a member of the Cornwall Police Service conducted a traffic stop in the area of Vincent Massey Drive and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the woman was operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on May 20, 2025.

TRAFFICK SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE FOR PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, DISTRIBUTE ILLICIT CANNABIS, POSSESSION PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old man from Brockville was arrested on April 28, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Traffick in Schedule I substance – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Distribute illicit cannabis
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

On April 28, 2025, the man attended the Port of Entry and was taken into custody by members of the Canada Border Services Agency. He was subsequently turned over to the CPS. The investigation revealed he was allegedly in possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, cannabis, drug paraphernalia and proceeds of crime. The man was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 3, 2025.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 28, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on April 17, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 28, 2025, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed, and she was held for a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 28, 2025, and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Jan. 17, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged on March 12, 2025, the man attended the same Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 28, 2025, police were dispatched to a Ninth Street East business in regard to a theft complaint. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on June 3, 2025.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 28, 2025, and charged with assault. It is alleged on April 18, 2025, the woman punched an individual known to her in the face at a Pitt Street establishment. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 28, 2025, the woman attended police headquarters for a separate matter. She was later taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 3, 2025.  

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 28, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on April 2, 2025, and April 16, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the CPS. It is also alleged on both dates, he failed to do so. On April 28, 2025, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 3, 2025.
