CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 2, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Criminal harassment - repeatedly communicate
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Uttering threats to damage property

It is alleged between Jan. 5, 2024, and Jan. 24, 2024, the woman repeatedly harassed her ex-boyfriend. It is also alleged she threated to kill him and threatened to damage his property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 2, 2024, the woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 23, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

FAIL TO COMPLY, FAILURE TO STOP AFTER ACCIDENT, IMPAIRED AND OVER 80, OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED

Cornwall, ON – Joshua Tilley, 31, of Cornwall was arrested on April 2, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Failure to stop after accident
  • Operation while impaired and over 80
  • Four counts of operation while prohibited

It is alleged on April 2, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not occupy the seat of any motor vehicle. On this date, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision and an investigation ensued. It is alleged the man was driving the vehicle, was involved in a collision, and fled the scene of the accident by foot afterward. He was located and the investigation also revealed the man was allegedly driving the motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 23, 2024.
