UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old youth from Akwesasne was arrested on April 29, 2025, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on April 24, 2025, the youth threatened to kill her ex-boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 29, 2025, the youth attended the Cornwall Police Service to address the matter. She was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 29, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:

  • Theft under $5,000 – shoplifting
  • Fail to attend
  • Fail to comply with undertaking
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance – methamphetamine

It is alleged on Feb. 3, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is also alleged on March 14, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Furthermore, it is alleged on April 29, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On this date, police were dispatched to a break and enter complaint and an investigation ensued. The man was located and the investigation revealed he was in possession of methamphetamine.

The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 29, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of fail to comply with release order. On April 29, 2025, police were dispatched to a break and enter complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times with specific exceptions. The man was located outside of his residence by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
