FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old man from Akwesasne was arrested on April 29, 2026, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged on Oct. 20, 2022, the man was scheduled to attend the Cornwall Police Service for fingerprinting and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend for fingerprints – as per undertaking. It is further alleged on Oct. 27, 2022, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A second warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend court – as per undertaking. On April 29, 2026, the man was taken into custody by the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service and subsequently turned over to members of the Cornwall Police Service. The warrants were executed and he was released to appear in court on June 2, 2026.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old woman from Laval, QC, was arrested on April 29, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. On May 28, 2023, police were dispatched to a theft of motor vehicle complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman stole a motor vehicle. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of theft of motor vehicle. On April 29, 2026, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on June 2, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY, BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 29, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Six counts of fail to comply with probation order
- Two counts of breach of recognizance
- Two counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting
It is alleged on Jan. 8 and Jan. 26, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not attend a specific Ninth Street West business. She was also bound by a second probation order as well as a recognizance, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on these dates, the woman attended the Ninth Street West business she was prohibited from visiting, selected merchandise and exited the store on each occasion without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued – led by a Community Safety Officer. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for her arrest.
On April 29, 2026, the woman was located at the courthouse. She was charged accordingly and returned to cells to await a bail hearing.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old man from Saint-Telesphore, QC, was arrested on April 29, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 2, 2023, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of failure to attend court after having appeared. On April 29, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer at a correctional facility. The warrant was executed and he was returned to cells to await a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old man from Ottawa was arrested on April 29, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Jan. 26, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to attend and actively participate in all assessment, counselling or rehabilitative programs as directed by the probation officer. He failed to do so, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to comply with probation order. On April 29, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer at a correctional facility. The warrant was executed and he was returned to cells to await a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 29, 2026, and charged with 30 counts of fail to comply with probation order and 15 counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
It is alleged on dates listed below, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not attend a specific Second Street East business. It is further alleged on these dates, the woman attended the specific Second Street East business she was prohibited from visiting, selected merchandise and exited the store on each occasion without making any attempt to pay for the items.

Police were contacted and investigations ensued – led primarily by Community Safety Officers. It is alleged that approximately $6,000 worth of merchandise was stolen from the business. As a result of the investigations, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the woman’s arrest. On April 29, 2026, she was located by a CPS officer at a correctional facility. The woman was charged accordingly and returned to cells to await a bail hearing.
FRAUD, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, UTTERING THREATS, MISCHIEF, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 29, 2026, on the strength of a warrant and additionally charged with the following:
- Criminal harassment – repeatedly communicate
- Criminal harassment – threatening conduct
- Uttering threats to damage property
- Mischief under $5,000
- Fail to comply with undertaking
On Feb. 5, 2026, a CPS officer was dispatched to investigate a fraud complaint. It is alleged on this date, the woman defrauded an individual of money. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fraud under $5,000.
On April 25, 2026, a CPS officer began investigating an ongoing harassment complaint. It is alleged the woman repeatedly communicated with and engaged in threatening behaviour toward her mother, causing the victim to fear for her safety. She also allegedly threatened to damage her mother’s personal property. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the woman’s arrest.
On April 29, 2026, police were dispatched to a disturb the peace complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman caused damage to property. She was subsequently located by members of the CPS. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 2, 2026.
Later on April 29, 2026, CPS officers were once again dispatched to a harassment complaint. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not attend her mother’s residence, to not be within 100 metres of her mother and to not communicate with her. It is further alleged the woman attended her mother’s residence. She was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was held for a bail hearing.
