WEAPONS
Cornwall, ON – On April 3, 2024, members of the CPS were dispatched to the Canada Border Services Agency for a weapons complaint and an investigation ensued.
As a result of the investigation, Jayson Partridge Sr., 51, and Jayson Partridge Jr., 27, both of no fixed address, were arrested and each charged with the following:
- Four counts of careless use of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Four counts of carrying concealed weapon
- Three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Three counts of knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Four counts of trafficking in firearm, weapon, device or ammunition
- Four counts of unauthorized importing of firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon – prohibited device or ammunition
- Four counts of possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Four counts of occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was prohibited or restricted weapon
In addition, Partridge Jr. was charged with:
- Five counts of fail to comply with undertaking
- Three counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
It is alleged on April 3, 2024, Partridge Jr. was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not possess a firearm or ammunition.
It is also alleged on this date, both men attended the port of entry and were inspected by CBSA members. The inspection revealed they were found to be in possession of firearms and ammunition. Both men were taken into custody and the CPS was contacted.
As a result of the investigation, several firearms were seized. Both men were charged accordingly and held for bail hearings.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – Paige Lamoy, 31, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 3, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Oct. 24, 2023, the woman attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 3, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 16, 2024.
FAIL TO COMPLY, THEFT UNDER $5,000
Cornwall, ON – Aimee Parry, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 3, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged on March 21, 2024, the woman was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman stole a package which didn’t belong to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 3, 2024, the woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on May 16, 2024.
