FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 3, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged from March 12, 2025, to March 23, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate directly or indirectly with his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged from March 12, 2025, to March 23, 2025, he texted and called his ex-girlfriend. Furthermore, it is alleged on March 23, 2025, the man communicated indirectly with his ex-girlfriend via a friend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 3, 2025, he attended the Cornwall Police Service to address the matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 3, 2025, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with undertaking and one count of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on April 3, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with his father, to not go to his father’s place of residence, employment or anywhere he frequents and to not be within 100 metres of his father’s residence. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On April 3, 2025, members of the CPS responded to an unwanted person complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man attended his father’s residence. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 3, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants and charged with five counts of fail to comply with release order and one count of fail to attend court.

It is alleged on Jan. 7, 2025, and Jan. 14, 2025, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the CPS every week. She failed to do so, and a warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest.

It is also alleged on Jan. 17, 2025, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the bail supervision program. She failed to do so, and another warrant was issued for her arrest.

Furthermore, it is alleged on Jan. 23, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

On April 3, 2025, police responded to a landlord/tenant call and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to reside at a specific address, to remain in her residence at this address between specific hours and to notify police of any change of address.

The woman was located and the investigation revealed she had breached the conditions of her release order. The warrants were executed, she was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

POSSESSION OF FORGED DOCUMENT, PERSONATION WITH INTENT, FRAUD OVER $5,000, OBSTRUCT PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old Regina, SK, man was arrested on April 3, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a forged document with intent
  • Personation with intent (identity fraud)
  • Fraud over $5,000
  • Obstruct peace officer

On April 3, 2025, police responded to an attempted fraud complaint at a City of Cornwall bank, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man attended a bank, provided a false driver’s license and committed identity fraud. It is also alleged he attempted to open a credit card above $5,000. The man was located by a member of the CPS, and it is alleged he gave the officer a false name. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 70 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
