POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Cameron Poulin, 19, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 31, 2024, and charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and assault with a weapon. It is alleged on July 30, 2024, the man was in possession of an edged weapon and stabbed an individual several times. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 31, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Sept. 5, 2024.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Briana Malcomnson, 28, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 31, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on July 31, 2024, the woman attended a Water Street business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Sept. 5, 2024.
