FAIL TO ATTEND, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jessica Prunner, 33, of Cornwall, was arrested on August 25th, 2023, and charged with failing to re-attend for prints and breach of release order. It is alleged that on July 12th, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters to be fingerprinted and failed to do so. It is also alleged that on August 15th, 2023, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to report to a bail supervision program and failed to do so. On August 25th, 2023, the woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 19th, 2023.

BREACH OF RELEASE ORDER

Cornwall, ON – A 12-year-old youth was arrested on August 25th, 2023, and charged with one count of breach of release order. It is alleged that on August 23rd, 2023, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not be on a certain street in Cornwall. On this date, the youth was located on the street he was prohibited from being on. On August 25th, 2023, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH OF RELEASE ORDER

Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on August 25th, 2023, and charged with three counts of breach of release order. Between August 10th and August 24th, 2023, it is alleged that the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not communicate with his step-daughter. Between these dates, the man regularly contacted his step daughter on social media, approached her when she was driving, and invited her to his residence on another occasion. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on October 19th, 2023. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, ON – Mohammed Chughtai, 27, of Cornwall, was arrested on August 26th, 2023, and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation. It is alleged that on August 14th, 2023, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. On this date, the man attended a Pitt Street business and stole a donation box. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 26th, 2023, the man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2023.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Jason Patenaude, 46, of Cornwall, was arrested on August 26th, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on November 25st, 2023, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On August 26th, 2023, the man was located during an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old man of Cornwall, was arrested on August 26th, 2023, and charged with assault with a weapon and mischief under $5000. It is alleged that on August 26th, 2023, the man struck his girlfriend with her phone and then caused damage to it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on October 3rd, 2023. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old woman of Cornwall, was arrested on August 26th, 2023, and charged with assault. It is alleged that on August 26th, 2023, the woman assaulted her boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on September 19th, 2023. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

THEFT, BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, ON – Daniel McPhail, 59, of St. Andrews, was arrested on August 27th, 2023, and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation. It is alleged that on August 22nd, 2023, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. On this date, the man attended a McConnell Avenue business, put gas in his vehicle, and left without paying for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 27th, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on October 5th, 2023.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on August 27th, 2023, and charged with assault. It is alleged that on August 21st, 2023, the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 27th, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on September 19th, 2023. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

OBSTRUCT PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – Bradley Drudge, 36, of Cornwall, was arrested on August 27th, 2023, and charged with obstruct peace officer. It is alleged that on August 27th, 2023, the man was stopped for a traffic violation and provided police with a false name. This lead to an investigation which lead to him being properly identified. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on October 19th, 2023.
