PUBLICATION OF INTIMATE IMAGES

Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old woman of Cornwall was arrested on August 29th, 2023, and charged with one count of publishing an intimate image with out consent.  It is alleged that on February 3rd, 2023, the woman posted intimate images of her ex-partner on social media without consent. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 29th, 2023, the woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2023. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

THEFT UNDER $5000, WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – On August 29th, 2023, police attended a Ninth Street business in regards to a shoplifting complaint. It is alleged that on August 29th, 2023, the two females entered the business, selected merchandise, and left the store without attempting to pay for it. They were both taken into custody by the store’s security. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result of the investigation;

• Ashley Viau, 33, of Cornwall was taken into custody, charged with one count of theft under $5000, and released to appear in court on October 19th, 2023.
• Tawnya Brunette, 35, of Cornwall, was taken into custody and charged with one count of theft under $5000. It was also revealed that there was an outstanding warrant for her arrest, alleging that on August 15th, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Malinda Rochon, 43, of Cornwall, was arrested on August 30th, 2023, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged that between October 22nd, 2023, and January 16th, 2023, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to report to a probation officer upon her release from custody. She failed to do so and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Furthermore, it is alleged that on March 9th, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. On August 30th, 2023, the woman was located during an unrelated matter. The warrants were executed and she was held for a bail hearing.
