WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Ernest Corbiere, 47, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 30, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged the on Jan. 19, 2023, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 30, 2023, the man was located and the warrant was executed. He was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Alexandre Dionne, 22, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 30, 2023, and charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order. It is alleged that on Oct. 19, 2023, the man was bound by two release orders with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times unless with a surety. It is alleged that on Oct. 19, 2023, the man was subject to a GPS monitoring system that notified police he was not in his residence. An investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was outside of his residence without his surety. On Nov. 30, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Samantha Derouchie, 30, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 30, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on Nov. 06, 2023, the woman was bound by two probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on this date, the woman removed property from a residence without permission of the owner. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Nov. 30, 2023, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.

ROBBERY, PROHIBITED DRIVING

Cornwall, ON – Michel Lascelle, 58, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 30, 2023, and charged with robbery and two counts of driving while prohibited. It is alleged that on Oct. 24, 2023, the man attended a Ninth Street business, selected merchandise, and left the store without attempting to pay. The man was confronted by store security and became assaultive. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 30, 2023, the man was located operating a motor vehicle during a traffic stop, which initiated an investigation. The investigation revealed the man was bound by two prohibition orders with the relevant condition to not operate a motor vehicle. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on Dec. 28, 2023.

IMPAIRED BY DRUG, REFUSAL, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Dayton Sheney, 23, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 30, 2023, and charged with one count of failing to comply with probation, impaired operation, and refusal. It is alleged that on Nov. 30, 2023, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On this date, it is alleged that police responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Ninth Street West, and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly under the influence of drugs. It is also alleged the man refused to comply with a component of the investigation by refusing the provide a specific sample. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on Dec. 28, 2023.

WEAPON, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Frederick Renshaw, 59, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 30, 2023, and charged with;

• Assault with a weapon
• Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
• Possession of concealed weapon
• Uttering threats
• Mischief Under $5,000

On Nov. 30, 2023, police received a call for service in the area of Montreal Road. It is alleged that on that date, the man attended a Montreal Road establishment, brandished an edged weapon from concealment, verbally made threats to cause harm to an individual and engaged in threatening gestures with the weapon towards the said individual. It is also alleged that the man engaged in a physical altercation with the individual that resulted in property being damaged. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 47-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on Nov. 30, 2023, and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that on Nov. 29, 2023, the man assaulted his ex-spouse. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 30, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
