CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 65-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Dec. 11, 2024, and charged with criminal harassment – repeatedly communicate and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic. It is alleged the man harassed his ex-spouse by sending repeated messages and also threatened to kill the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Dec. 11, 2024, the man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Dec. 31, 2024. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
FAIL TO COMPLY, THEFT, ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – Elizabeth Allikas, 27, of Ingleside, was arrested on Dec. 11, 2024, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Theft under $5,000
- Assault
It is alleged on Dec. 11, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Furthermore, it is alleged, she spat on the Loss Prevention Officer at the business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT PEACE OFFICER
Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Dec. 12, 2024, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of assault a peace officer. It is alleged on Dec. 12, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not contact her ex-boyfriend and to not attend her ex-boyfriend’s residence or place he frequents. Furthermore, it is alleged on Dec. 12, 2024, the woman attended her ex-boyfriend’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, and while being taken into custody, it is alleged, she kicked a police officer. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
