THEFT UNDER $5,000, MISCHIEF UNDER $5,000, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Michael Denneny, 43, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 12, 2023, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of theft under $5,000
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Six counts of fail to comply with probation order

It is alleged on Nov. 12, 2023, the man was bound by three probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged on Nov. 12, 2023, the man attended a Balmoral Avenue business, caused damage to the property, and removed property without permission. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged on Nov. 25, 2023, the man was bound by three probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On this date, it is alleged the man attended a Water Street business, selected merchandise, and left without attempting to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Dec. 12, 2023, the man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on Jan. 16, 2024.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, CAUSING A DISTURBANCE, UTTERING THREATS, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Todd Harris, 57, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 12, 2023, and charged with the following:

  • Criminal harassment
  • Causing a disturbance
  • Three counts uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Assault with a weapon

It is alleged on Dec. 12, 2023, the man repeatedly harassed and made several threats to an individual known to him. It is also alleged he placed and activated a pneumatic device in the man’s face. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 10, 2024.
