FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Dec. 12, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Nov. 22, 2024, and Dec. 3, 2024, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to report to the Cornwall Police Service and to sign in as required. It is also alleged on these dates, the youth failed to report to the CPS or sign in as required. On Dec. 12, 2024, he was located by a member of the CPS who was on general patrol. The youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Dec. 12, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with five counts of fail to comply with probation order. On Nov. 17, 2024, police responded to a breach of probation complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Aug. 19, 2024, Aug. 24, 2024, and Nov. 17, 2024, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant conditions to not communicate either directly or indirectly with his ex-girlfriend and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a third probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Furthermore, it is alleged on these dates, the man communicated electronically with his ex-girlfriend. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Dec. 12, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
