ASSAULT, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Dec. 14, 2023, and charged with domestic assault and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Dec. 14, 2023, the woman assaulted and made threats to her ex-boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 9, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
FAIL TO COMPLY, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Dec. 14, 2023, and charged with mischief and fail to comply with youth probation order. It is alleged on Dec. 14, 2023, the youth was bound by a youth probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged on this date, the youth caused damage to school property. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of Youth Criminal Justice Act.
ASSAULT, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Dec. 14, 2023, and charged with domestic assault and fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Dec. 14, 2023, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man assaulted his girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF FIREARM, POINTING A FIREARM, CARELESS USE OF FIREARM, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – A 12-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Dec. 14, 2023, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with release order
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Two counts pointing a firearm
- Careless use of firearm
- Assault with a weapon
- Domestic assault with a weapon
It is alleged on Dec. 14, 2023, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not possess any weapons. It is also alleged on this date, the youth was in possession of a firearm and pointed it at other individuals. It is also alleged the youth pointed a firearm at another individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
WARRANTS
Cornwall, ON – Kim Legault, 39, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 14, 2023, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged on Jan. 17, 2022, the woman was scheduled to attend for fingerprints and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. It is also alleged on April, 20, 2022, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. Another warrant was issued for her arrest. On Dec. 14, 2023, the woman was located and the warrants were executed. She was released to appear in court on Jan. 16, 2024.
