DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Dec. 15, 2023, and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged on Dec. 12, 2023, the woman assaulted her ex-boyfriend with an object. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Dec. 15, 2023, the woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 9, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

FAIL TO RE-ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 15, 2023, and charged with fail to re-attend for fingerprints. It is alleged the youth was scheduled to attend police headquarters to be fingerprinted on Nov. 15, 2023, and failed to do so. On Dec. 15, 2023, the youth was located during a separate matter, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Justice Criminal Act.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Matthieu Piette, 38, of Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 15, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 28, 2023, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to reside with a surety at a specific address and to notify the officer in charge of any changes of address. It is alleged on this date, the man was not residing with his surety and failed to notify the officer in charge. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Dec. 15, 2023, police were conducting a R.I.D.E. program, when the man was located. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Joshua Watson, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 15, 2023, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. It is alleged on Dec. 15, 2023, police were conducting a R.I.D.E. program, and the man tried to avoid the checkpoint. An investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 11, 2024.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kyle Shaver, 37, of Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 15, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Nov. 7, 2023, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Dec. 15, 2023, the man was located during an unrelated matter, the warrant was executed, and he was released to appear in court on Jan. 25, 2024.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Dec. 16, 2023, and charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on Dec. 16, 2023, the woman threw an object at her boyfriend and damaged property in the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Miranda Mertes, 33, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 16, 2023, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged on May 3, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. It is also alleged on June 15, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. Another warrant was issued for her arrest. On Dec. 16, 2023, police located the woman during an unrelated matter. The warrants were executed and the woman was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Morgan McCreary, 44, of St. Andrews West, was arrested on Dec. 16, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Nov. 8, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Dec. 16, 2023, police located the woman during an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and the woman was released to appear in court on Jan. 16, 2024.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Johann Hagen, 73, of Green Valley, was arrested on Dec. 16, 2023, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. It is alleged on Dec. 16, 2023, the man was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on Jan. 11, 2024.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Kingston man was arrested on Dec. 16, 2023, and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged on Dec. 16, 2023, the man assaulted two family members. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victims.

FAIL TO STOP AFTER ACCIDENT, IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Claire Cholette, 37, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 17, 2023, and charged with fail to stop after accident, impaired operation and over 80. It is alleged on Dec. 17, 2023, the woman was involved in a motor vehicle collision and failed to stay at the scene. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the woman was operating her vehicle under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 11, 2024.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Dec. 17, 2023, and charged with mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on Dec. 17, 2023, the woman damaged her mother’s property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Jan. 25, 2024. The woman’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
