WEAPONS
Cornwall, ON – Chad Flaro, 38, and Kathleen Ferguson, 37, both of Cornwall, were arrested on Dec. 18, 2023, and charged with the following:
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Five counts of careless storage of firearm
- Four counts knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition
On Dec. 18, 2023, police were contacted in regards to a suspicious person with possible firearms in the area of Churchill Street. Police attended the area and an investigation ensued. The investigation allegedly revealed the man and woman were in possession of a quantity of firearms. They were taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT, ASSAULT PEACE OFFICER, RESIST PEACE OFFICER
Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Dec. 18, 2023, and charged with the following:
- Two counts fail to comply with probation order
- Fail to comply with undertaking
- Assault
- Resist peace officer
- Assault peace officer
It is alleged on Dec. 18, 2023, the man was bound by two probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not possess any cell phone, pager or personal digital assistant. It is alleged on Dec. 18, 2023, the man assaulted a family member. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man fled police. Once apprehended, he made threats and attempted to assault police. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – Zackary Deschamps, 26, of Long Sault, was arrested on Dec. 18, 2023, and charged with fail to comply with appearance notice. It is alleged on Nov. 20, 2023, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. On Dec. 18, 2023, the man was located, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 15, 2024.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – Isabelle Masson-Billard, 25, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 18, 2023, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Dec. 13, 2023, was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to CPS. It is alleged on this date, the woman failed to do so. On Dec. 18, 2023, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 15, 2024.
