FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Dec. 20, 2023, and charged with six counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Dec. 20, 2023, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not attend any school grounds. It is alleged between Dec. 7, 2023, and Dec. 20, 2023, the man attended a school on six separate occasions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Dec. 20, 2023, the man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 17, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victims in ongoing matters before the court.
ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, ASSAULT, ADMINISTERING NOXIOUS THING, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Dec. 21, 2023, and charged with the following:
- Assault with a weapon
- Assault
- Administering noxious thing
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Fail to comply with undertaking
It is alleged on Dec. 15, 2023, the youth was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not possess a restricted weapon. On this date, it is alleged the youth administered a noxious substance toward his ex-girlfriend and then assaulted her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Dec. 21, 2023, the youth was located during a separate matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Justice Criminal Act.
THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE, DANGEROUS OPERATION, FAIL TO REMAIN AT ACCIDENT
Cornwall, ON – Jarred Tracey, 28, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 21, 2023, and charged with the following:
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Dangerous operation causing bodily harm
- Failure to remain at the scene of an accident
- Attempt theft of motor vehicle
It is alleged on Dec. 21, 2023, the man stole a vehicle, then proceeded to drive dangerously at a high rate of speed. It is also alleged the man hit another vehicle and failed to remain at the scene of the accident, where another driver to sustained injuries. Furthermore, it is alleged the man then fled on foot and attempted to steal another vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.
