WARRANT, ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Kandy Pierce, 30, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 27, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that on Oct. 9, 2023, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to notify police of any change of address and to reside at a specific address. She failed to do so. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for her arrest. It is also alleged that on Dec. 27, 2023, the woman assaulted another individual using an edged weapon, resulting in that person sustaining injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 27, 2023, and charged with failing to comply with release order. It is alleged that on Dec. 27, 2023, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not contact his spouse. On this date, it is alleged the man communicated with her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Dec. 27, 2023, the attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on Jan. 09, 2024.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old female was arrested on Dec. 27, 2023 and charged with mischief under $5000. It is alleged that on Dec. 27, 2023, the woman damaged her girlfriend’s property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on Jan. 9, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
