MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – Robert MacDonald, 25, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 3, 2024, and charged with mischief under $5,000. On Dec. 3, 2024, police responded to a suspicious person call and an investigation ensued. The man was located by police and the investigation revealed he damaged an individual’s property. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 7, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – Christopher Leger, 40, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 3, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Nov. 27, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man threatened to kill an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Dec. 3, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 9, 2025.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Brika Henophy, 40, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 3, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Nov. 26, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Dec. 3, 2024, the woman was located by police who were dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on Jan. 9, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY, THEFT
Cornwall, ON – Laura Buckley, 27, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 3, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Dec. 2, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman stole an individual’s cell phone. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Dec. 3, 2024, she was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was released to appear in court on Jan. 9, 2025.
WARRANTS, FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM
Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Alexandria man was arrested on Dec. 3, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with fail to comply with undertaking as well as assault causing bodily harm.
It is alleged on Sept. 19, 2024, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not contact his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged on this date, the man sent messages to the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Furthermore, it is alleged on Nov. 16, 2024, the man punched his cousin in the face, causing injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Dec. 3, 2024, the man was taken into custody by members of the OPP and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrants were executed, he was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 9, 2025. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victims in the matter.
WARRANTS, FAIL TO ATTEND, THEFT, SHOPLIFTING, UTTERING THREATS, OBSTRUCT PEACE OFFICER, RESIST PEACE OFFICER, ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO RESIST ARREST, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE FOR PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING
Cornwall, ON – Windell King, 43, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 4, 2024, on the strength of outstanding warrants and charged with the following:
- Two counts of fail to attend court
- Theft under $5,000
- Theft under $5,000 – shoplifting
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Obstruct peace officer
- Resist peace officer
- Assault with intent to resist arrest
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
It is alleged on Jan. 30, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged on April 22, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A second warrant was issued for his arrest.
Furthermore, it is alleged on Sept. 12, 2024, the man stole an individual’s bicycle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged on Sept. 12, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Another warrant was issued for his arrest.
It is alleged on Nov. 21, 2024, the man threatened to kill an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
Finally, on Dec. 4, 2024, the man was located by a member of the CPS who was on general patrol. While being taken into custody, it is alleged, the man gave police a false name, resisted the peace officer and assaulted the member of the CPS. Furthermore, the investigation revealed the man was in possession of a Schedule I substance and packaging material.
The warrants were executed, the man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
