WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Titus Mason, 19, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 6, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Dec. 5, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Dec. 6, 2024, the man attended Cornwall Police Service headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Jan. 9, 2025.

ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, ASSAULT, OBSTRUCT PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Dec. 6, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault
  • Obstruct peace officer

It is alleged on Dec. 6, 2024, the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend with a weapon and assaulted his brother. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged on this date, the man obstructed police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victims in the matter.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Daniel Bourdeau, 49, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 7, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged from Aug. 28, 2024, to Oct. 4, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to report in person to a probation officer. He failed to do so and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Dec. 7, 2024, the man was located by a member of the CPS who was on general patrol. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 6, 2025.

FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – Kathleen Ferguson, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 7, 2024, and charged with fail to attend for fingerprints as per undertaking. It is alleged on Oct. 23, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. On Dec. 7, 2024, the woman was located by a member of the CPS who was on general patrol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 6, 2025.

ASSAULT, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, UTTERING THREATS TO CAUSE DEATH OR BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Dec. 8, 2024, and charged with two counts of assault, five counts of domestic assault, four counts of domestic assault with a weapon and three counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic. It is alleged:

  • On Jan. 29, 2019, the man threatened to punch his spouse.
  • On June 3, 2019, he pushed his spouse, who fell on an object.
  • On Aug. 31, 2021, the man assaulted his spouse.
  • On Sept. 5, 2021, he threatened to kill his spouse.
  • On Sept. 12, 2022, the man threatened to punch his spouse in the face.
  • On Nov. 22, 2022, he threw objects at his spouse’s face.
  • On March 5, 2023, the man threw objects at his spouse.
  • On March 31, 2023, he threw an object at his spouse.
  • On Aug. 24, 2023, the man assaulted his son.
  • On Aug. 29, 2023, he pushed his spouse, who landed on an object.
  • On Nov. 5, 2023, the man kicked his spouse.
  • On Feb. 25, 2024, he assaulted his son.
  • On Dec. 7, 2024, the man assaulted his spouse and assaulted her with a weapon.

On Dec. 7, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to report an assault and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed, it is alleged, other abuse, which was documented from Jan. 29, 2019, to Feb. 25, 2024. Later, on Dec. 8, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victims in the matter.

ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – Johnny Cameron, 24, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 8, 2024, and charged with assault causing bodily harm and mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on Dec. 8, 2024, the man assaulted an individual known to him, causing injuries. It is also alleged on this date, the man damaged the individual’s property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.  

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Natasha Lalonde, 40, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 8, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged between Aug. 1, 2024, and Oct. 7, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to report in person to a probation officer. She failed to do so and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On Dec. 8, 2024, the woman was located by a member of the CPS who was on general patrol. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 6, 2025.

POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Dec. 8, 2024, and charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. On Sept. 27, 2024, police responded to a theft call and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 22, 2024, two bicycles were allegedly stolen. It is also alleged on Sept. 27, 2024, the youth was in possession of a stolen bicycle. On Dec. 8, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 59-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Dec. 8, 2024, and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on Dec. 8, 2024, the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 31, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Jason Larose, 47, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 8, 2024, and charged with three counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting and three counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged:

  • On Dec. 3, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
  • On Dec. 4, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
  • On Dec. 8, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to reside at an address approved by the bail supervision program, to reside at a specific address and to notify the officer in charge at the CPS of any address change. He failed to do so.
  • On Dec. 8, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On Dec. 8, 2024, police located the man at the Ninth Street East business. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED OPERATION

Cornwall, ON – Natalia Deegan-Nicholson, 53, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 8, 2024, and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. On Dec. 8, 2024, police responded to a single vehicle collision in the area of Brookdale Avenue and an investigation ensued. The woman was located by police and the investigation revealed she was allegedly operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Dec. 31, 2024.

CALLS FOR SERVICE

There were 141 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the weekend (8 a.m. Friday to 8 a.m. today). CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
