BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE, THEFT
Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 10, 2026, and charged with breach of recognizance and theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Dec. 17, 2025, the woman was bound by a recognizance with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged she stole two packages from the front porch of an individual’s residence. The complainant reported the incident through the Cornwall Police Service’s online reporting system, and an investigation ensued. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the woman’s arrest. On Feb. 10, 2026, she attended police headquarters to address the matter. The woman was taken into custody by a Community Safety Officer, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 24, 2026.
BREAK AND ENTER, ADMINISTER NOXIOUS THING
Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old man from Longueuil, QC, was arrested on Feb. 10, 2026, and charged with break and enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence and administer noxious thing. It is alleged on Jan. 27, 2026, the man broke into the residence of an individual known to him and sprayed the individual with bear mace. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the man’s arrest. On Feb. 10, 2026, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 24, 2026.
INDECENT EXPOSURE
Cornwall, ON – A 90-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 10, 2026, and charged with two counts of indecent exposure to a person under 16 years of age. It is alleged on Feb. 6, 2026, the man exposed himself from the window of his residence to two individuals under the age of 16. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Feb. 10, 2026, he was located and taken into custody by CPS detectives. The man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 50-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 10, 2026, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Feb. 10, 2026, the woman attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was taken into custody by the Loss Prevention Officer at the business and subsequently turned over to a CPS officer. She was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 24, 2026.
