FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 13, 2026, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking and one count of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Oct. 7, 2025, the man was bound by two separate undertakings, each with the relevant condition to not attend a specific Ninth Street West business. It is further alleged on this date, the man attended the Ninth Street West business he was prohibited from visiting, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued – led by a Community Safety Officer with the Cornwall Police Service. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the man’s arrest. On Feb. 13, 2026, he was located at the courthouse. The man was charged accordingly and returned to cells to await his bail hearing.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, THEFT
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 14, 2026, and charged with domestic assault and theft under $5,000. In the early morning hours of Feb. 14, 2026, police were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his spouse and stole her cell phone. The man was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 14, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with appearance notice – court/fingerprinting as well as fail to attend for fingerprints – as per undertaking.
It is alleged on Dec. 31, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. It is further alleged on Feb. 4, 2026, the man was once again scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.
On Feb. 14, 2026, members of the CPS responded to an unwanted person complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on March 24, 2026.
DANGEROUS OPERATION, FAIL TO STOP AFTER ACCIDENT, FLIGHT FROM PEACE OFFICER, IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 15, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Dangerous operation
- Failure to stop after accident
- Flight from peace officer
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
In the early morning hours of Feb. 15, 2026, members of the CPS responded to a motor vehicle collision, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Feb. 15, 2026, the man operated a motor vehicle in a manner that was dangerous to the public, failed to stop after an accident and subsequently fled police. The man was located by CPS officers, and further investigation revealed he was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 10, 2026. In addition to the above charges, the man’s driver’s license was suspended for 90 days.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 47-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 15, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Sept. 8, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to attend court after having appeared. On Feb. 15, 2026, the woman was located by police, who were dealing with an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth from St. Regis, QC, was arrested on Feb. 15, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and also charged with fail to comply with undertaking and assault with a weapon.
It is alleged on Jan. 5, 2026, the youth was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with a specific individual. It is further alleged on this date, the youth was in contact with the individual she was prohibited from communicating with and committed an assault with a weapon by intentionally dumping a food substance onto the complainant. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the youth’s arrest.
It is further alleged on Feb. 10, 2026, the youth was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to attend for court – as per undertaking.
On Feb. 15, 2026, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matters. The warrant was executed and she was charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 15, 2026, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Feb. 15, 2026, the woman attended a Brookdale Avenue business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was taken into custody by the Loss Prevention Officer at the business and subsequently turned over to a CPS officer. She was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 24, 2026.
OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED
Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 15, 2026, and charged with three counts of operation while prohibited. On Feb. 15, 2026, members of the CPS were conducting a R.I.D.E. program in the area of McConnell Avenue. During the initiative, an officer conducted a traffic stop which led to an investigation. It is alleged on this date, the man was operating a motor vehicle while under suspension. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 24, 2026. In addition to the above charges, the motor vehicle was impounded for 45 days.

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 16, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Dec. 5, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend court after having appeared. In the early morning hours of Feb. 16, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer, who was investigating an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.
THEFT
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 16, 2026, and charged with theft under $5,000. On Feb. 16, 2026, police were dispatched to a Second Street East business for a theft complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man stole cash from another individual at the business. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on March 24, 2026.
POSSESSION & ACCESS OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE AND EXPLOITATION MATERIAL
Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old man from Lancaster was arrested on Feb. 16, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. On Aug. 5, 2025, a CPS detective within the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit began a child pornography investigation. It is alleged on May 12, 2025, the man was in possession and accessed child sexual abuse and exploitation material. As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material and access any child sexual abuse and exploitation material. On Feb. 16, 2026, the man was taken into custody by members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 16, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Jan. 29, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to comply with appearance notice – court/fingerprinting. On Feb. 16, 2026, he was located by police, who were dealing with an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and the man was held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, CARRY CONCEALED PROHIBITED DEVICE, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, POINTING FIREARM
Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 16, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with sentence order
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
- Carry concealed prohibited device or ammunition
- Assault with a weapon
- Pointing a firearm
On Feb. 16, 2026, members of the CPS responded to a weapons complaint in the area of Second Street East, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Feb. 16, 2026, the man was bound by a youth sentence order with the relevant condition to not possess any weapons. It is further alleged on this date, he was in possession of a weapon and pointed the firearm at an individual known to him. Later on Feb. 16, 2026, the man was located by CPS officers. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 16, 2026, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order. On Feb. 16, 2026, police responded to a weapons complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not contact or communicate with a specific individual and to not be within 50 metres of any place he knows the specific individual to live, work or frequent. It is further alleged the man was in contact with the individual he was prohibited from communicating with. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was later released to appear in court on March 24, 2026.
