FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 2, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with appearance notice – court/fingerprinting. It is alleged on Dec. 3, 2025, the man was scheduled to attended Cornwall Police Service headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On Feb. 2, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 12, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 2, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
- Three counts of fail to comply with release order
- Domestic assault
On Feb. 2, 2026, police responded to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was also bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to remain in his residence at all times with specific exceptions, to not contact or communicate with his girlfriend and to not be within 150 metres of any place he knows the woman to live, work or frequent. It is further alleged he was in contact with his girlfriend and assaulted the woman. The man was located by CPS officers. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
