FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 3, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Jan. 26, 2026, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to sign in to the Cornwall Police Service every week. It is further alleged he failed to sign in to the CPS on this date. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. On Feb. 3, 2026, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 10, 2026.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 3, 2026, and charged with domestic assault with a weapon. On Feb. 2, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman assaulted her boyfriend with a tool. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for her arrest. On Feb. 3, 2026, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Feb. 24, 2026.
BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 3, 2026, and charged with breach of recognizance and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Nov. 8, 2025, the woman was bound by a recognizance with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged she attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued – led by a Community Safety Officer. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for her arrest. On Feb. 3, 2026, the woman was located by police. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 10, 2026.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 3, 2026, and charged with assault. It is alleged on Feb. 1, 2026, the man assaulted a youth. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On Feb. 3, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 12, 2026.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 3, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Jan. 29, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend court while on release order. On Feb. 3, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on March 10, 2026.
