FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 4, 2025, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with release order and four counts of fail to comply with probation order.
It is alleged on Jan. 30, 2026, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the bail supervision program. She failed to do so and as a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the woman’s arrest.
It is further alleged on Feb. 4, 2026, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate with a specific individual and to not be within 100 metres of any place she knows him to live. She was also bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate with the individual and to not be within 100 metres of any place she knows him to live. On Feb. 4, 2026, the woman was located by a Cornwall Police Service officer, who was on general patrol. It is alleged she was in the presence of the individual she was prohibited from contacting. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 5, 2026, and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs as well as operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). In the early morning hours of Feb. 5, 2026, police were dispatched to the Canada Border Services Agency in relation to an impaired driver who was in custody. The woman was subsequently turned over to the CPS and the ensuing investigation revealed she was operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The woman was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Feb. 26, 2026.
