FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Isabelle Masson-Billard, 25, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 12, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Jan. 10, 2024, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to CPS headquarters weekly. She failed to do so. On Jan. 12, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters, was taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Jan. 12, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Domestic assault
  • Domestic assault with a weapon
  • Domestic assault causing bodily harm
  • Mischief under $5,000

It is alleged on Jan, 12, 2024, the man assaulted and threw items at a woman known to him, causing injuries to her. It is also alleged the man damaged the woman’s property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 22, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Michael Denneny, 43, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 12, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that between July 10, 2023 and Dec. 18, 2023, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to report to a probation officer of any changes of name, address, or employment, report to a probation officer within two days of being released from custody, and to live at a place approved of by probation. He failed to do so and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Jan. 12, 2024, police responded to an unrelated call where the man was located. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Feb. 12, 2024.

ASSAULT, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Jan. 13, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts domestic assault
  • Domestic assault causing bodily harm
  • Mischief under $5,000

It is alleged the man assaulted his girlfriend on two separate occasions, threw an item at her causing bodily harm and damaged her property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 13, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identify of the victim.   

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Jan. 13, 2024 and charged with mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on Jan. 13, 2024, the man damaged his mother’s property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 22, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.   

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Rohullah Baiqra, 23, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 13, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged the man was scheduled to attend court on Dec. 14, 2023, and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Jan. 13, 2024, the man was located and the warrant was executed. He was released to appear in court on Feb. 22, 2024.

DISOBEYING COURT ORDER, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, DANGEROUS OPERATION, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Jan. 14, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Disobeying family court order
  • Criminal harassment
  • Dangerous operation
  • Two counts assault with a weapon

It is alleged on Jan. 14, 2024, the woman was bound by a family court order with the relevant condition to not be in the presence of a specific child. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended a public facility where the child was known to be. Furthermore, it is alleged the woman followed the victim and her mother with her motor vehicle, driving dangerously and repeatedly attempting to smash into the passenger side of the vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 6, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victims.
