MISCHIEF, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Jan. 15, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Mischief
  • Uttering threats cause death or bodily harm
  • Uttering threats damage property

It is alleged on Jan. 15, 2024, the youth threatened his mother and damaged her property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Justice Criminal Act.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old from Verdun, QC, was arrested on Jan. 15, 2024, and charged with theft of motor vehicle. It is alleged on May 5, 2023, the man stole a vehicle from the 100-block for Heritage Place in Cornwall. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 15, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Justice Criminal Act as these allegations occurred when the man was under 18.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Jan. 15, 2024, and charged with domestic assault with a weapon and fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Jan. 15, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he kicked an object toward his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.  

UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Jan. 15, 2024, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Jan. 15, 2024, the woman made threats to her ex-boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. She was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 6, 2024. The woman’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim. 

ASSAULT PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – Haydon Chadwick, 20, of Limoges, ON, was arrested on Jan. 15, 2024, and charged with assault peace officer. On Jan. 15, 2024, police responded to a 9-1-1 hang up call and an investigation ensued. It is alleged, the man assaulted a police officer. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, UTTERING THREATS, RESIST PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Jan. 15, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Domestic mischief
  • Uttering threats to damage property
  • Resist peace officer

It is alleged on Jan. 15, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man damaged his girlfriend’s property and made threats to further damager her property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. It is also alleged the man resisted arrest. He was held for a bail hearing. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
