FAIL TO COMPLY, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Jan. 15, 2025, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with undertaking
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Uttering threats to damage property
It is alleged on Jan. 15, 2025, the youth was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with a specific individual. It is also alleged on this date, the youth communicated with the specific individual, threatened to kill the woman and threatened to burn down her house. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Malinda Rochon, 44, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 15, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Sept. 21, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Jan. 15, 2025, the woman was located by a Cornwall Police Service officer who was dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on Feb. 20, 2025.

There were 62 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today). The CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
