IMPAIRED, REFUSAL
Cornwall, ON – Alexander Legacy, 40, of Trenton, ON, was arrested on Jan. 15, 2025, and charged with operation while impaired and refusal to comply with demand. On Jan. 15, 2025, police responded to an impaired driver call in the area of Wallrich Avenue and an investigation ensued. The man was located and the investigation revealed he was allegedly operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. While police were conducting an impaired operation investigation, the man allegedly refused to comply with the demand to complete a standardized field sobriety test. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Feb. 6, 2025.
UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Jan. 16, 2025, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. On Jan. 16, 2025, police responded to a family dispute call and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth threatened to punch out his grandmother. He was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
FAIL TO COMPLY, OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, CARRYING CONCEALED WEAPON, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE
Cornwall, ON – Kevin Proulx, 24, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 16, 2025, and charged with the following:
- Six counts of fail to comply with probation order
- Two counts of operation while prohibited
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Two counts of carrying concealed weapon
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – methamphetamine
It is alleged on Jan. 16, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to refrain from possessing any weapons, to not be in a motor vehicle except if you’re the registered owner or the registered owner is present with you and to not be in possession of vehicle keys, except if the vehicle is registered in your name. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a separate probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to refrain from possessing any weapons. Finally, it is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a driving prohibition.
On Jan. 16, 2025, members of the Cornwall Police Service responded to a police information call in the area of Montreal Road and an investigation ensued. The man was located and observed to be seated in a motor vehicle while in possession of the vehicle’s keys. The investigation revealed the man was in possession of a stolen vehicle. Furthermore, it is alleged, the man was in possession of edged weapons and drugs.
He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
