FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Jan. 22, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with appearance notice. It is alleged the youth was scheduled to attend police headquarters on Jan. 17, 2024, for fingerprints and failed to do so. On Jan. 22, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

SEXUAL ASSAULT, SEXUAL EXPLOITATION

Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old Alexandria man was arrested on Jan. 22, 2024, and charged with three counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual exploitation. It is alleged the man sexually assaulted his step-daughter over a period of time. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 22, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 7, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Jan. 22, 2024, and charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged the man made threats toward his ex-girlfriend and their child. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 22, 2024, the man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victims.
