FAIL TO COMPLY, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – Paul Elliot, 48, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 22, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and mischief. It is alleged from Jan. 7-14, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged during this time frame, the man continuously called 9-1-1, tying up emergency lines and making it difficult for emergency services to perform their duties effectively. An investigation ensued. On Jan. 22, 2025, the man was located by a member of the Cornwall Police Service. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 20, 2025.
WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – Patrick Delafontaine, 31, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 22, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged between Dec. 20-28, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to notify the court in advance of any change of name or address, to notify the probation officer in advance of any change of name or address and to report in person to a probation officer. He failed to do so and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. On Jan. 22, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on March 6, 2025.
