FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Jeffrey Burles, 40, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 27, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Jan. 18, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on March 6, 2025.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Lisa Shaver, 51, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 27, 2025, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Jan. 27, 2025, the woman attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on March 6, 2025.

Cornwall, ON – Maryam Fisher-Nasr, 20, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 27, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Jan. 23, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 27, 2025, a member of the Cornwall Police Service conducted a traffic stop and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Feb. 25, 2025.

ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE, FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING, RESIST PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – Ryan Grignon-Paquette, 30, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 27, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Robbery with violence
  • Two counts of fail to comply with undertaking
  • Two counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting
  • Resist peace officer

It is alleged on Jan. 16, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. It is also alleged he assaulted the Loss Prevention Officer at the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is alleged on Jan. 20, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not attend a specific business on Ninth Street West. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended the business he was prohibited from visiting, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is alleged on Jan. 23, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not attend a specific business on Ninth Street West. On Jan. 27, 2025, a member of the CPS conducted a traffic stop and an investigation ensued. The man was located, and while he was being taken into custody, he allegedly resisted police. The man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
