FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Jan. 28, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Jan. 26, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not contact his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged on this date, the man communicated with his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 28, 2025, the man attended Cornwall Police Service headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Jean Mitchell, 27, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 28, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Jan. 16, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain on his property at all times. On Jan. 16, 2025, police responded to a bail violation and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man removed his ankle monitor and left his residence. On Jan. 28, 2025, he was located by police. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Stephen Donnelly, 24, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 28, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged from Oct. 2, 2024, to Nov. 13, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to report in person to a probation officer and to live at a place approved by the probation officer. It is also alleged he failed to abide by these conditions and a warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. Furthermore, it is alleged on Oct. 31, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Jan. 28, 2025, members of the CPS responded to a disturbance complaint and an investigation ensued. The man was located, the warrants were executed and he was held for a bail hearing.  

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Kootoo-Dupuis, 33, was arrested on Jan. 28, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Nov. 14, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Jan. 28, 2025, a CPS officer conducted a traffic stop and an investigation ensued. The man was located and the warrant was executed. He was held for a bail hearing.

There were 70 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today). The CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
