UTTERING THREATS, SEXUAL ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Jan. 3, 2025, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic as well as two counts of sexual assault.

It is alleged during the summer of 2023, the youth threatened to assault his girlfriend. Furthermore, it is alleged, he sexually assaulted his girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On Jan. 3, 2025, the youth was located by members of the Cornwall Police Service. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

CALLS FOR SERVICE

There were 112 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the weekend (8 a.m. Friday to 8 a.m. today). CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
