FAIL TO COMPLY, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year old Cornwall woman was arrested on Jan. 5, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and criminal harassment. It is alleged on Jan. 5, 2024, the woman was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she refused to leave a family member’s residence, in which she was previously removed from. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victims.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kayla Flaro, 36, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 5, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged the woman was scheduled to attend court on Nov. 7, 2023, and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Jan. 5, 2024, the woman was located and the warrant was executed. She was released to appear in court on Jan. 23, 2024.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year old Cornwall woman was arrested on Jan. 5, 2024, and charged with mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on Jan. 5, 2024, the woman damaged her ex-boyfriend’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Feb. 8, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

FAIL TO COMPLY, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Justin Sergerie, 26, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 5, 2024, and charged with two counts fail to comply with probation order and two counts of uttering threats. It is alleged on Jan. 5, 2024, the man was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man threatened an individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Shane Flowers, 42, of Pembroke, was arrested on Jan. 6, 2024, and charged with assault. It is alleged on Jan. 6, 2024, the man assaulted another individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Feb. 8, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Jan. 6, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Jan. 2, 2024, the man was bound by an undertaking wit the relevant condition to not go within 100 metres of his ex-girlfriend’s residence. It is alleged on this date, the man attended her residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 6, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Jan. 7, 2024, and charged with two assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged on Jan. 1, 2024, the youth assaulted a male resulting in an injury. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 7, 2024, the youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Justice Criminal Act.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80, FAIL TO STOP AFTER ACCIDENT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Michael Terry, 46, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 7, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Fail to stop after accident
  • Fail to comply with release order

On Jan. 7, 2024, police attended the area of Nick Kaneb Drive and Tenth Street East in relation to a possible impaired driver. An investigation ensued. During the investigation, it was revealed the man was allegedly operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, hit a pole with his vehicle and left the scene of the accident. It was also revealed the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not be out of his residence with alcohol on his person or in his body. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Mathieu Duplantie, 35, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 7, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000 and four counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Jan. 7, 2024, the man was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to notify the court or probation officer in advance of any change of name or address. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 7, 2024, the man was located and provided police with an address which does not exist. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 13, 2024.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Harlen Edwards, 42, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 7, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged the man was scheduled to attend court on Sept. 12, 2023, and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Jan. 7, 2024, the man was located and the warrant was executed. He was held for a bail hearing.
