WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Ottawa man was arrested on Jan. 8, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with three counts of fail to comply with release order and one count of domestic assault. It is alleged on Dec. 24, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not communicate with his girlfriend, to not be within 100 metres of any place she resides, works or frequents and to not attend her residence. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended his girlfriend’s residence and assaulted the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. On Jan. 8, 2025, the man was located by a member of the Cornwall Police Service. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
FAIL TO COMPLY, FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – Laura Buckley, 27, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 8, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and fail to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on Dec. 27, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. On Jan. 8, 2025, the woman was located by a member of the CPS who was on general patrol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 20, 2025.
BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, ON – Tyler McMillan, 30, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 9, 2025, and charged with break and enter a place – commit indictable offence. It is alleged on Aug. 17, 2024, the man broke into a residence and removed property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 9, 2025, the man was located by a member of the CPS who was on general patrol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 11, 2025.
