FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on July 14, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged between Oct. 1, 2022, and Aug. 27, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to report in person to a probation officer immediately and after that, at all times and places as directed by the probation officer, and to make restitution to specific individuals. It is further alleged, he failed to do so, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of two counts of fail to comply with probation order. On July 14, 2026, a Cornwall Police Service officer was dispatched to a suspicious person complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was subsequently located by police. The warrant was executed and he was later released to appear in court on Aug. 25, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on July 14, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Criminal harassment – repeatedly communicate
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
On July 14, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on July 12, 2026, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, he harassed his ex-spouse by repeatedly texting her and threatened to kill the woman. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. Later on July 14, 2026, he was located by police. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
POSSESSION OF CREDIT CARD, POSSESSION PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON – A 56-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on July 14, 2026, and charged with possession of a credit card and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. On May 16, 2026, a CPS officer was dispatched to investigate a fraud complaint after the complainant reported that her wallet had been stolen from her motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly in possession of a stolen credit card and used it to make a fraudulent transaction on this date. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On July 14, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer, who was dealing with a separate matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Aug. 25, 2026.
UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old woman from Newington, ON, was arrested on July 14, 2026, and charged with uttering threats to damage property. It is alleged on this date, the woman threatened to burn down an individual’s house. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. She was subsequently located by police and taken into custody. The woman was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Aug. 25, 2026.
