FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on July 28, 2026, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order. On July 4, 2026, members of the Cornwall Police Service were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged from May 12, 2026, to June 19, 2026, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not contact or communicate in any way with his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 100 metres of any place he knows the woman to live, work or frequent. It is further alleged from May 12, 2026, to June 19, 2026, the man was in contact and communicated with his ex-girlfriend. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On July 28, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Aug. 18, 2026.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on July 29, 2026, and charged with assault. On July 29, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to a family dispute, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth assaulted her mother. She was subsequently located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on July 29, 2026, and charged with assault. On the evening of July 24, 2026, an individual was allegedly assaulted by several youths at Lamoureux Park. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On July 29, 2026, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on July 29, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on July 8, 2026, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the bail supervision program. It is further alleged she failed to report to the bail supervision program, and as a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for her arrest. On July 29, 2026, the woman was located by a CPS officer, who was on general patrol in the City of Cornwall. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old woman from Williamstown was arrested on July 29, 2026, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on May 30, 2026, the woman stole property from her ex-husband. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for her arrest. On July 29, 2026, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Aug. 18, 2026.
