UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 66-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on July 3, 2026, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic. It is alleged on July 2, 2026, the man threatened to cause bodily harm to his spouse. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 3, 2026, the man was located by Cornwall Police Service officers, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was later released to appear in court on Aug. 4, 2026.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on July 4, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on May 28, 2026, the youth was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend court as per undertaking. In the early morning hours of July 4, 2026, police responded to a disturbance, and an investigation ensued. The youth was subsequently located by police and taken into custody. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court at a later date.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on July 4, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with release order. In the early morning hours of July 4, 2026, police responded to a disturbance, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence between specific hours. He was subsequently located by police, and it is alleged he breached the conditions of his curfew. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man, both of Cornwall, were arrested on July 4, 2026, and each charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on April 23, 2026, the individuals attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for their arrest. On July 4, 2026, the couple attended police headquarters to address the matter. They were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Aug. 11, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old man from Alexandria was arrested on July 5, 2026, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order. In the early morning hours of July 5, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to the Port of Entry in relation to a breach of probation complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not contact or communicate in any way with his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 150 metres of any place he knows the woman to live, work or frequent. It is further alleged on this date, he was in contact with his ex-girlfriend. The man was taken into custody by members of the Canada Border Services Agency and subsequently turned over to the CPS. He was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on July 28, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on July 5, 2026, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic.
It is alleged between Sept. 1, 2025, and June 15, 2026, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged between these dates, the man threatened to cause death to his ex-spouse. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest.
On June 26, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to a bail violation complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not be within 200 metres of any place he knows his ex-girlfriend to live, work or frequent. It is further alleged on this date, he attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.
On July 5, 2026, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Aug. 4, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY, CAUSING DISTURBANCE, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on July 5, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
- Causing a disturbance
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
On July 5, 2026, police were dispatched to a disturb the peace call at a Marlborough Street convenience store, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, he caused a disturbance in a public place and threatened to kill an individual. The man was subsequently located by CPS officers. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on July 5, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. In the early morning hours of Nov. 11, 2025, police were dispatched to investigate a mischief complaint. It is alleged on Nov. 3, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, he committed mischief by damaging the property of an individual known to him. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of fail to comply with probation order and mischief – destroys or damages property. On July 5, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer, who was investigating an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and he was later released to appear in court on Aug. 11, 2026.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on July 6, 2026, and charged with domestic assault. In the early morning hours of July 6, 2026, police were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on July 5, 2026, the man assaulted his spouse. He was subsequently located by CPS officers and taken into custody. The man was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Aug. 4, 2026.
