FAIL TO COMPLY, MISCHIEF OVER $5,000, MISCHIEF UNDER $5,000, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 17, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with undertaking
  • Mischief over $5,000
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Assault with a weapon

It is alleged on June 8, 2024, the youth was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not possess a firearm. It is also alleged on this date, the youth repeatedly fired a BB gun at his neighbour’s home and motor vehicle, causing damage. Furthermore, it is alleged the youth fired the weapon at an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 17, 2024, the youth was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 17, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on June 15, 2024, and June 16, 2024, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence except between specific times. It is also alleged on these dates, the youth breached his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 17, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Kimberly Rowe, 45, of Lunenburg, was arrested on June 17, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on May 11, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 17, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Aug. 8, 2024.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Kevin Parent, 64, of Ottawa, was arrested on June 17, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on May 28, 2024, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 17, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Aug. 8, 2024.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Emilie Boudrias, 25, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 17, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of fail to comply with appearance notice. It is alleged on May 27, 2022, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. Furthermore, it is alleged on June 16, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not contact a specific individual. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was observed by police with the individual she was prohibited from being in contact with. An investigation ensued. On June 17, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and released to appear in court July 9, 2024.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 17, 2024, and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on June 17, 2024, the man assaulted his spouse. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on July 9, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

POSSESSION OF FIREARM OR AMMUNITION CONTRARY TO PROHIBITION ORDER, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF WEAPON, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Marvin Bryan, 45, of Brampton, ON, was arrested on June 18, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Three counts of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Assault with a weapon

It is alleged on June 17, 2024, the man was bound by a prohibition order with the relevant condition to not possess any firearm or prohibited weapon. It is also alleged on this date, the man was in possession of an edged weapon. Furthermore, it is alleged, the man assaulted an individual with the weapon. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Later, on June 18, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, ADMINISTER NOXIOUS THING, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Konstanze Richter, 35, of Montreal, was arrested on June 18, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of assault with a weapon
  • Two counts of administer noxious thing
  • Three counts of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon

It is alleged on June 17, 2024, the woman assaulted two individuals with bear spray. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Later, on June 18, 2024, the woman was located by police. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, MISCHIEF, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF WEAPON, OBSTRUCT PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – Catlin Howell, 32, of Nova Scotia, was arrested on June 18, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Five counts of fail to comply with release order
  • Fail to comply with undertaking
  • Two counts of assault with a weapon
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Three counts of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Obstruct peace officer

It is alleged on June 17, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not consume alcohol, to remain in his residence between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., to remain in Nova Scotia and to not associate with anyone who has a criminal record. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not contact a specific individual. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man was in possession of a bat, swung it at two individuals and also damaged their vehicle with the weapon. It is also alleged the man was in contact with the individual he was prohibited from being associated with. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Later, on June 18, 2024, the man was located by police, at which point he gave a false name. His identity was later revealed. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
