WARRANT, DOMESTIC MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 18, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and additionally charged with domestic mischief. It is alleged on June 18, 2024, the man damaged property in his residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The investigation also revealed there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest. It is alleged on May 30, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend the courthouse and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 18, 2024, the man was located by police. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the domestic matter.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 18, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on June 17, 2024, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times with specific exceptions. It is alleged on this date, the youth once again breached his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 18, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on June 14, 2024, the youth was scheduled to appear in court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On June 18, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 18, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on June 15, 2024, the youth was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to notify the CPS of any change of address. It is also alleged the youth has not been residing at his current address and failed to notify police. An investigation ensued. On June 18, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
FAIL TO COMPLY, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 18, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking and one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on June 10, 2024, and June 12, 2024, the youth was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with a specific individual and to not go within 50 metres of the individual’s residence. It is alleged on these dates, the youth was in communication with the individual she was prohibited from contacting and was within 50 metres of her residence. It is also alleged she made threats to the individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 18, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 18, 2024, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on June 13, 2024, the youth sent inappropriate messages to a student known to her via social media, threatening him and texting the individual that she was going to kill him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 18, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – Robin Torsti, 27, of Ottawa, was arrested on June 18, 2024, and charged with five counts of fail to comply with release order and one count of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on June 1, 2024, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to reside at a specific address, to remain in her residence between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., to not communicate with a specific individual, to not possess any weapons and to report to a bail supervision program immediately upon her release, abide by all house rules, including curfew, no violence and no consumption of alcohol. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On June 1, 2024, police responded to an unwanted person call at a local establishment and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the woman allegedly failed to change her address, breached her curfew, was in contact with the individual she was prohibited from communicating with at the establishment, was in possession of an edged weapon and was under the influence of alcohol. The woman was located, and while being questioned, was belligerent and uncooperative with police. The investigation continued. On June 18, 2024, the woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was held for a bail hearing.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Mitchell Julien, 37, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 18, 2024, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On June 18, 2024, police responded to an impaired driver call in the area of Second Street East and an investigation ensued. The man was located by police and the investigation revealed he was allegedly operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 11, 2024.
